Time, genetics and certain lifestyle factors can potentially combine to have a profound effect on the health and appearance of your skin. The effects of skin aging brought on by slower exfoliation, decreased collagen production, nutritional choices and unprotected sun exposure are often most pronounced on the face and neck areas.

Sallow looking skin, fine lines deepening into wrinkles and developing jowls can impact your self-image and hamper your self-confidence. While a consistent skincare regimen and quality skin creams might help minimize the development of skin aging, they often fall short on achieving their desired effect.

At our practice, we try to stay on the leading edge of aesthetic treatments, which includes a variety of options for addressing the visible appearance of skin aging. We are proud to be able to offer Ultherapy® as a non-invasive method for addressing sagging skin and other signs of mild to moderate skin aging.

This procedure has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. It uses ultrasound technology to stimulate your body’s own regenerative processes in the dermis. The effect helps to promote a natural process known as neocollagenesis to essentially boost collagen production in the deeper layers of your skin. Over time, this serves to gradually tighten the dermal layers in the targeted areas.

The treatment process also allows our doctor to get a closer look at the deeper layers of your skin to understand areas that might need increased focus.

A single Ultherapy® treatment can be performed on an outpatient basis without the need for sedation or recovery time. After the procedure, you can return to your day without any delay or discomfort.

A single treatment session will often provide some moderate improvement. However, most patients opt for multiple Ultherapy® sessions to maximize their results over the course of two to three months.

After each Ultherapy® session, you might notice some minor redness on the skin of the treatment area. You also shouldn’t be alarmed if you experience a little tingling, tenderness or temporary numbness. Our doctor can answer any post-treatment question you might have.

If you have been struggling with minor to moderate signs of skin aging and want to explore your non-invasive options, we invite you to visit our practice to see if you are a good candidate for Ultherapy®. We look forward to helping you restore your youthful appearance!
